Three Culnady Church Elders, 1930.

From L-R Bobby Johnston (Clyde Johnston’s father),
Matthew Hyndman (Jim Hyndman’s father & Church Treasurer), Willie Kyle (Robert Kyle’s uncle & Church Elder) & John Hyndman (Matthew Hyndman’s father & Church Elder). The lady in the background is probably Hannah Kyle, Willie Kyle’s wife. Bobby Johnston thinks he looks no older than 14 in this photo hence the 1930 date.

Robert Kyle reckons that as the three men were church Elders and everyone was wearing their Sunday Best the photograph was taken after a church event. Clyde guesses the photographer was his grandfather (Bob Johnston who was also an elder!) and his father was included to keep him out of mischief!
